As a kid, I remember two models of missiles from Revell, the USAF Snark in red plastic and the USN Regulus in dark blue plastic. I bought multiple of these kits because of the colors and the streamlined design. Both kits came with yellow land
launchers. However, for the Regulus, actually Regulus II, the launch platform was a submarine.
Blue Ridge Models has produced a 1:350 scale kit of the USS Grayback SSG-574, the launch platform for testing the Regulus II. The kit can be also
built as the
USS Growler SSG-577, the launch platform for testing the earlier original Regulus, a less streamlined cruise missile. Richard Sliwka built the Grayback out of the box and entered it in the 2019 US IPMS National Convention.
