Vadim Malakhovskiy has done a wonderful job in building the Combrig 1:350 scale full hull model of the Russian Cruiser 2nd Rank Almaz. Commissioned in 1903 and assigned to the Baltic Fleet, the Almaz was part of the 2nd Pacific Squadron and
fought at the Battle of Tsushima. Almaz was one of the few major ships that reached the safety of Vladivostok after the battle. She served as the Imperial Yacht in 1908. She was refitted as a seaplane tender in 1914. Almaz was scrapped in 1934.
