This is the SMS Scharnhorst in 1:350 Scale from Combrig. I opted for the more colorful peace time colors of white and spar for my Scharnhorst using Tamiya and Colourcoats paint. Brass rod masts, turned yardarms, gun barrels and period photo-etch railing supplied by Burkhardt Masch at Modelmarine.de. I used heavy gel medium for the water with Liquitex acrylic paints. Also used was the basic photo-etch supplied with the Combrig kit plus numerous additions from my spares box. Rigging was made entirely from stretched sprue. Figures are from L'Arsenal and light weathering was done with MiG pigments. The base and case was made by Ron at Grandpa's Cabinets. Also, thanks to Dmitry Nedogonov at Combrig for sending me an additional photo-etch set when the Carpet Monster took a couple parts from the original set as a sacrifice.
