The HMS Triumph, 2nd Class Battleship, is built in my usual 1/550 scale based upon drawings from R. A. Burt's British predreadnought battleship
book. I decided to avoid the Victorian black paint scheme, which looks great but hides details and consequently drives me nuts working with. Instead, I
built her in a white paint scheme that she should have appeared in during her China service prior to WW I. I did not represent the bow scroll. I rather
like the cruiser-like lines of this second-class battleship that was originally built for Chile. She was unfortunately sunk in WW I during the Gallipoli
campaign by
U-21. Triumph had her torpedo nets out but this precaution was to no avail against a torpedo that shredded her nets.
