The Lindberg model company made this kit back in the 1950's. It was reissued after Round2 bought Lindberg. Checking out Q-ships on the web, I found 3 websites that were interesting, Wikepedia, Navsource, and Naval Strategy. The last one had
article on 'On the origin of the Lindberg Q-ship /Raider plastic model kit.' With this I noticed the bridge was off and more cabins were to be added behind the smoke stack. Also the
Atik was sunk by U-123 on 3/27/1942 after a fierce battle. All hands
were lost. So to honor her crew I built this model.
