This is the 1/700 scale S.S. Wendover from Loose Cannon.  The ship was launched in 1928 and sunk by the Germans in 1943 according to the ship's history that comes with the instructions. The kit is
probably one of the nicest castings from
Loose Cannon to date.  It also comes with a dedicated photo-etch sheet and a spare resin propeller that goes on the poop deck. I used Floquil and Testors paints,
and Alclad Polished Brass for the spare screw. I scratch built the masts, used caenis line and stretched sprue for the rigging, and
Gold Medal Ultra railings, even though the kit has a nice photo-etch
sheet. The "W" decal and ship's name and origin are included on the decal sheet that comes with the kit. It was a fun build and a slight detour from my usual wartime subject matter.
