These are photographs of my latest build, the USS Guam, CB-2. It's the Midship Models limited run resin kit with a lot of scratch-building and modification. I also
used Blue Ridge 20mm, 40mm, 5"/38s, and Mk 51 gun directors. Brass barrels were used for the 12"/50 main guns and Gold Medal Models Ultra railings were used.
Testors and Lifecolor paints were used for the Measure 32 camo scheme and stretched sprue was used for the rigging. It was a real bear to build but worth the effort.
My friend's dad served on the ship in WW2 and I'm going to give it to him in his dad's memory.
