USS Fletcher Upgrade Set for the Tamiya Kit, 5 Star Model 1:350 Scale, Review by Felix Bustelo - The 5 Star Model 1:350 scale upgrade for the Tamiya USS Fletcher is an extremely extensive and well-done upgrade set which will turn a good kit into something outstanding. There is no area of the model not covered in some manner with this detail set and because of that, I would recommend it for experience modelers and not for someone just starting to working with photo-etch.

I-400, Japanese Submarine Upgrade Set for the Tamiya Kit, Infini Model 1:350 Scale, Review by Felix Bustelo - The Tamiya Models I-400 kit builds into a very good model out of the box. The kit has a small photo-etch fret with a limited amount of parts that does help but doesn’t go far enough in the opinion of Felix Bustelo. If you want to take your model farther, then Infini Model has exactly what you need with their dedicated detail set.

HMS Hood, Multi Media Deluxe Upgrade Set for the Trumpeter 1:200 Scale Kit, KA Models 1:200 Scale - There is no doubt about it, the KA Models Deluxe Upgrade Set for the Trumpeter HMS Hood in 1:200 scale is not cheap. As with other upgrade sets, an excellent upgrade set can costs as much as the kit itself, if not more. This KA Models set is indeed excellent, especially the deluxe version that throws in everything short of Admiral Holland's reading glasses.

Tetra Model Works

JMSDF Atago, Aegis Destroyer, Tetra Model Works 1:350 Scale, Review by Felix Bustelo - While the basic photo-etch provided by Trumpeter in the Atago kit may satisfy some modelers, others may want a more extensive set that doesn’t go other the top with hundreds of tiny parts. In the opinion of Felix Bustelo, the Tetra Model Works set fits that description perfectly.

USS Intrepid CV-11, Angle Deck Airraft Carrier Upgrade Set, Tetra Model Works 1:350 Scale, Review by Felix Bustelo - The Intrepid CV-11 Detail Up Set is very extensive and is a super detailer’s delight.Felix doesn’t think there is really anything overlooked. Some of the subassemblies are a bit complex, with lots of individual parts, so Felix would recommend it for modelers with a good deal of experience working with photo-etch. If you are willing to take the plunge, you will have a hell of an Intrepid model to proudly display.
