Mark Alkass journeyed from southern Florida to Chattanooga, Tennessee for the 2019 US IPMS National Convention. He entered a yellow wings delight with the USS Saratoga 1936. The kit is from Trumpeter in 1:350 scale. Although he didn't list
his additions or modifications to the kit, many are obvious. The Saratoga kit comes with solid plastic flight deck nets molded to the deck. Mark removed the solid nets and added brass photo-etch nets. Many other brass parts were added, including the
crew. No matter how you slice it, the aircraft carriers of the United States Navy in the 1930s were lovely creatures with their red mahogany decks with yellow stripes and filled with yellow wing aircraft. Won 3rd Place Aircraft Carriers 1:350 Scale.
